The new Lamborghini!
Less than a week to go to the arrival of Lamborghini‘s newest model since it unleashed the astounding Reventon [with it's fighter-jet similarities] on us. And this might also be it’s best kept secret ever, since only a handful of important people were even aware they were building a new model until very recently.
The new Lambo will be unveiled on the 2nd of October at the Paris motorshow. In the lead up to the release, some stunning pictures [shown here] have been released to tempt our imagination.
Lamborghini’s current production line consists of the amazing Murcielago and the “baby Lambo” Gallardo [with each having a roadster/spyder version]. By adding this third model to the line-up, Lamborghini is taking a bold step in the competition against it’s rivals.
Speculation abounds that this new model is a either a four door sedan or a 2 + 2 GT, probably rightly so considering the market covered by its other models in production. Personally I’m not a fan of the 4-door [or 2+2 for that matter] sportscar or supercar [what's the point, really?], and cars like the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti and the Porsche Cayenne just make me shake my head.
Either way, though, a new Lambo is a new Lambo and I’m really looking forward to seeing what they have in store for us. One thing is for certain, though – with a legacy that includes cars like the Miura and the Countach, and a strong partner in Audi – in six days time we are going to be seeing a mind-blowingly awesome vehicle that will leave it’s rivals feeling rather despondent.
Bring it on Lamborghini! We’re waiting…
