The beauty of simplicity

There’s something about simplicity… something intoxicating and enthralling. Something that makes my heart skip a beat.

I’m a bit of a simplicity nut. In some ways, I think we all are.

KISS

Keep It Simple, Stupid.

Everyone thinks that life should be all about choices, but what do you do when you’re faced with too many choices? We get that a lot nowadays – everything can be customised to suit our preferences. Personally I like a bit of choice, but if I have to make a decision about every little detail of a product/meal/experience/whatever at some point I’ll probably just stop caring.

So please just KISS.

One of my favourite examples of simplicity is posterous – a simple publishing platform that makes the internet a splendid canvas for anyone to use.

I believe its this simplicity that could see them becoming a major player in the online space, possibly next in line to inherit the Twitter hype once that settles down a bit [just as Twitter took over from facebook in the past year]. That might sound a bit optimistic considering Twitter’s reach, but if they play their cards right, you never know.
